Niiv Learning Labs is a mission-driven education initiative that believes in making 21st Century Skills accessible to all – schools, businesses, individuals – regardless of their background, location or socio-economic status.
We started this journey with a strong sense of purpose, a drive to help students, educators, youngsters and women gain access to skills that are essential but often overlooked in traditional education systems.
On a hot and humid day in September 2019, we visited a government school in Jharkhand, unsure of what to expect. Till then Niiv was just an idea in its infancy.
As we met with the teachers and observed the huddled students in the classroom, we knew we couldn’t let this opportunity pass us by. So, we conducted a small learning session for the kids, hoping to impart some knowledge and inspiration.
As we were leaving, a 4th-grade girl approached us, tears in her eyes, and hugged our Facilitator, asking “Why don’t you teach us more often?”
That one innocent question struck a deep chord within us and transformed Niiv from a vague thought to a mission that we all believed in. That encounter taught us that education is not a privilege but a basic right, and that every child, no matter where they come from, deserves access to quality education and essential skills.
It inspired us to go back to the drawing board, to improve the last-mile delivery of education through access to resources and training, and to impart 21st Century skills to students, educators, and professionals alike.
Niiv Learning Labs is our response to the urgent need for better, more accessible education. We are driven by a sense of purpose, fueled by passion and committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and communities.
